In the News

Watch Muna-tare making a real difference in the local community and inspiring others along the way.

Background

Terrorism has neither borders or boundaries, knows no color or race, comes from religious extremism, intolerance and fundamentalism. The results are violent extremism, kidnappings and abuse.

The youth are especially vulnerable to being solicited and joining terrorist organizations due to: Poverty, Inability to get jobs, underemployment, Lack of education, meaning in life, appropriate support systems and mentorship.

The Solution

To create a social enterprise, across religious faiths, that focuses on providing the youth of Northern Nigeria with a fully engaged and meaningful life so they don’t fall prey to gangs and terrorist organizations.

Initial focus: Lease to own program for moto-bikes and tricycles to the youth of Northern Nigeria. Financing provided across religious lines.

• Borrowers sponsored/supported by their own church and Mosques.
• Bikes and tricycles will be paid back over 1 year through weekly payments
• Single lease will ultimately support multiple leases due to payback.
• Church/Mosque will receive fee for lease program

Without Opportunity…

The youth have no path and will end up with terrorist groups.

Muna-tare Empowerment Center will encourage responsibility and savings skills for youth. By empowering on youth it is equivalent to disarming 10-20 young person over time.

“An idle mind is a devil’s workshop”
