The Social Enterprise Concept

Initial focus: Lease to own program for moto-bikes and tricycles to the youth of Northern Nigeria. Financing provided across religious lines.

• Borrowers sponsored/supported by their own church and Mosques.

• Bikes and tricycles will be paid back over 1 year through weekly payments

• Single lease will ultimately support multiple leases due to payback.

• Church/Mosque will receive fee for lease program

Long Term Goals (5 yrs)

The Social Enterprise will be self-sustaining through the lease to own program for bikes and tricycles to the youth in Northern Nigeria.

Youth borrowers will have an appreciation for those of faiths; different than theirs. The Social Enterprise will have the resources to expand its outreach to other interfaith initiatives such as:

• Interfaith radio.

• Provide scholarships

• Drilling of boreholes in communities (drilling of well water)

• Provide medical clinics in communities

Short Term Goals (6 mo)

Establish a US 501(C)3 and a Nigerian 501(C)3

• The US NGO will be focused on raising capital.
• The Nigerian NGO will be focused on operations.
• Raise $75,000 for initial start-up of the enterprise.

Medium Term Goals (1 yr)

Establish first operation in Nigeria (Northern Nigeria)

• Dogara Danbaba, Executive Director
• Hire Accountant/bookkeeper
• Rent appropriate space
• Procure license to sell bikes and tricycles
• Establish agreement with Mosque(s).
• Establish agreement with Church(s).
• Purchase 30 moto-bikes and 15 tricycles
• Commence lease to own program to youth in the community.
