Dogara Simon Danbaba, holds a Masters degree of Arts in International Peacebuilding (MAP) at the prestigious Hartford International University for Religion and Peace (HIU), formerly known as (Hartford Seminary) in Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language from Kaduna State University, Kaduna, and a professional diploma in journalism from NTA Television College, Rayfield, Jos. As a student, he received three awards from NTA Television College as the winner of the Rector’s best performing student scholarship award, best student reporter of the year, best graduating student in the department of Television Journalism. All of these came in recognition of his journalistic skills, and as a result of this academic prowess, he was offered a job with one of the best media houses in Nigeria, DAAR Communications Plc. Owners of Raypwer FM and Africa Independent Television (AIT) Jos. Dogara is a church leader, youth representative and a community leader. Dogara is happily married with 3 kids.
Growing up in Northern Nigeria, particularly in Kaduna State, makes Dogara passionate about finding solutions tothe region’s numerous crises ranging from terrorism, kidnappings, violent extremism and radicalization as well as religious crises, a situation that requires rapid and proactive attention from all meaning individuals in order to stem this ugly trend of crimes against humanity which if allowed will degenerates and escalates into becoming a global problem because terrorism, radicalization and or violent extremism has no border and has the tendency of spreading across nations.
He dreams of contributing to society in the area of peace through the use of interfaith social enterprise in order to create jobs for the teaming unemployed youth in Northern Nigeria to promote harmonious coexistence between Christians and Muslims. Dogara is a peace ambassador who believes in new ways of solving old problems that is why he is passionate about finding solutions to a problem that existed long before he was born.
